Elf Anonymous is non-denominational volunteer-based initiative that brings holiday joy to seniors who do not have loved ones to celebrate with in the month of December. We partner with local senior lodges and assisted living facilities to deliver items on each senior's "wishlist" - from basic toiletries, to home baked goodies, to cultural mementos. Perhaps the greatest gift our volunteers give, however, is the gift of time spent together.
To date, Elf Anonymous has helped 180 seniors to find connections over the holidays!
Elf Anonymous has expanded beyond the winter season!
What do elves do when not in Santa's workshop? They're still spreading joy, of course! It is time for our Christmas tradition to expand into the spring season! We are so excited to announce that in 2018, we had such a high interest from senior facilities wanting to participate in our grass roots program, that we actually had to turn some away - leaving us with one participant who asked us to bring our program to them in June instead.
We have an upcoming event on June 5th 2019 from 6:30-8:00pm in honour of Alberta Seniors Week. The location is Laurel Heights Retirement Residence (3110 22nd Avenue NW). Fill our volunteer application if you are interested in becoming a spring-time Elf!
